Founder of Sakura Pelvic Health in St. Paul and a board-certified pelvic health physical therapist with more than 20 years of experience and a deeply distinguished background: early career in specialized New York City pelvic clinics working alongside Herman & Wallace faculty; then the University of Pittsburgh pelvic health team, where she mentored physical therapy residents and lectured medical students; has taught pelvic health concepts to physical therapists in Japan and educated midwives in Eritrea through the United Nations Population Fund; built Sakura because 'this work deserves more time, more attention, and more thoroughness than most clinical settings can offer' - every session one-on-one in a private treatment room with the same provider start to finish, 90-minute initial evaluations, full-hour follow-ups; treats pregnancy and postpartum, pelvic pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, sexual health, perimenopause and menopause, men's health, and pediatric bowel/bladder concerns ('children with ongoing accidents get told they'll grow out of it'); internal exams always optional with external-only paths offered.
